An Italian Ballroom Dance Champion in the International Standard division, Maura Garuccio moved to the United States in 2012 to pursue her professional dance career stateside. She has since incorporated American Smooth and Rhythm into her repertoire and will soon be competing again on the professional circuit.

Maura started dancing at age of 4 in her hometown of Brindisi in the south of Italy and has been in love with every aspect of the sport ever since.
Maura trains and competes nationally in the PRO-AM category with several amateur dancers. She teaches International (Standard and Latin) and American (Smooth and Rhythm) styles. She also finds great joy in working with students for social dancing and as they prepare for their wedding day!
